Training ends, but the 'real' journey begins
Day four and five of the QRT training, August 12-13, rigorous physical training continued as obstacles increased with difficulty testing not only their strength but also their capabilities to act as a cohesive squad. Day four, SF Airmen were taught how to respond to an active shooter and/or hostage scenario in the Base Exchange and the base dormitories, as well as extraction of an active shooter in a vehicle. Day five SF Airmen performed combative training and practical exercises. Physical training sessions were themed in memory of the 31 warriors lost in Afghanistan, August 7, 2011, by each volunteer completing 31 of each exercise throughout the course.
